Oncodemia® is an online training programme created specifically for Community Pharmacists.

Developed by Accord in association with The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a world leading cancer centre, and Macmillan Cancer Support, the programme has been created in bite-sized modules, each between 5-10 minutes, covering four key areas:

• Basics of Cancer
• Supporting Patients
• Managing Symptoms
• The Pharmacist’s Role

Registering for Oncodemia training and signing up to the Community Cancer Champion charter gives pharmacies a range of excellent benefits and opportunities.

As well as being more prepared to provide patients or carers with appropriate advice to best support them throughout their cancer journey, your pharmacy will appear to patients in the Pharmacy Locator feature of the Unify Health® app with a yellow pin, directing patients there to seek cancer care.

• 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime¹
• 32 new patients in each pharmacy, on average diagnosed with cancer every year²
• c. 70% of cancer patients will travel further to visit an oncology specialised pharmacy³
